Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God.
It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
We are His people, and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His Name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting,
And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100, NKJV
I'm leaving soon for Christmas Vacation, and I've got lots to do, but I still wanted the world to know I was thankful to the Lord for all He has done.
Having been sick and still thanking God for being a healer, I am most thankful today that I am better than I was. Either God touched me miraculously, or the body that God created did what it was supposed to do. Either way, my wellness today is thanks to the handiwork of God.
Last night I was starving for something a little more hearty than the chicken noodle soup and tomato soup I had been eating, so I got up to make (from scratch) a potato soup. Not only did I find a wonderful recipe in my Southern Living Cookbook for a "Vegetable Chowder", but I had all the ingredients I needed to make it wonderful. So I'm thankful for that.
And today, I have some friends coming over to share the chowder with me before we all leave town together. I'm thankful for my friends, today, who make this life a little easier to bear.
