Thankful, Day Nineteen

Make a joyful shout to the Lord, all you lands!
Serve the Lord with gladness;
Come before His presence with singing.
Know that the Lord, He is God.
It is He who has made us and not we ourselves;
We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,
And into His courts with praise.
Be thankful to Him, and bless His name.
For the Lord is good;
His mercy is everlasting;
And His truth endures to all generations.
Psalm 100, NKJV

Still blessing His Name.

I'm thankful that Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world. Without His willing sacrifice, I would be lost and hopeless and still in my sin, with salvation available only by following the strictest set of rules and under the threat of death every time I broke one. But because Jesus died for me, as a sacrificial lamb, I have forgiveness through His name.

I'm thankful that Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of my faith. He has everything written down, under control, and on its way to the foreknown end. He knew me before I was ever born, called me by name and wrote that name down to be His own special possession. He saved me, and He will see me through to my own foreknown end!

I'm thankful that Jesus Christ is the Son of Righteousness who rose with healing in His wings. The stripes of beating upon His back, every wound and bruise, was received for my complete healing and wholeness. He is the Great Physician, the one who heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds, the great healer of men today. And if I but touch the hem of His garment, I know that I will be made well.

Thank you Jesus, for being who you are, and for doing what you do.
